Proof certain that two objects can not occupy the same space at the same time!
I was a student pilot, flying a Piper Cherokee 140 (PA-28-140),
flying as pilot in command. My instructor was in the right seat. We were
practicing bounce and zooms (touch and goes)at Norwood Airport (Mass). We
were unaware that another Cherokee was flying 200 feet below us, and
below prescribed pattern altitude. The Cherokee being a low wing aircraft,
we could not see below us. On final approach we came together at 500 feet.
We were in the Blue Cherokee. We rammed into the tail of the other plane and
dead sticked onto the runway with a piece of his stabalizer, that caused
my engine to seize, in my prop. Luckily, no one was hurt.
There was no tower at Norwood Airport...but there is now!
